ELDER ELAINE J. JONES
Portrait of a women of God

Elder Elaine J. Jones "wears a tiara made of a thorny crown--reserved only for those who have suffered and then survived to be even stronger."  That's just one of a plethora of quotes that describes the life of Elaine Jones. A former educator and journalist, she has dedicated most of her life being a wife, mom, and grandma. As an educator, she taught mathematics for Junior High, High School, Technical Colleges, and other Colleges night programs. Expanding her horizon, she left the field of education to become a journalist at "Greensboro News/Record" Newspaper in Greensboro, North Carolina.
She continued in the field of journalism as a Promotions Manager and Copy Writer at WIS radio station in Columbia, South Carolina. Returning to the field of education, she became a Consultant/Counselor at Heyward Career Center, before being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Surviving a three year bout with MS, she entered a season as caregiver for her husband Joseph, who is a living testimony of the power of God. Elaine's life has exemplified wearing a tiara made of a thorny crown. She is a recognized Elder of the Gospel since 2007, also presently a motivational speaker, and workshop facilitator.
God has gifted her to become a published author, while still carrying out her duties as wife, caregiver, mom, and mentor for many young men and women. Following her charge/passion as a writer, Elder Elaine J. Jones'  latest published books are a series entitled, "What Schools Don't Teach."  Her books are portraits of her strength, resilience and wit. Elaine illuminates some of life's most vulnerable times of  love, dating, marriage, divorce and other real life topics. In so doing, her writings reflect a bright light showing the path to clarity, joy, and Jesus Christ. Her books are "easy reads" laced with humor and somberness, highlighting extraordinary moments in the lives of ordinary people.
The treasury of words of her books envelopes the reader with faith, love, courage, hope, and comfort- a truly inspiring collection. She constantly strives to be a "Woman God Can Trust", ( a title of one of her poems). Elder Jones writing, radiates her faith in God that in turn will feed one's soul and replenish one's spirit.  The reason for her accomplishments can be summarized in one statement, "To God Be All the Glory!"
